Soooooo good! The food may cost you a pretty penny but it is defiantly worth it! Family owned and locally sourced food in a warm, inviting atmosphere - what more could you ask for. Great local and eclectic beers, had the blueberry lager (yum!) and the pear hard cider, both were great. Ordered an array of appetizer, hush puppies, fried alligator skins and frog legs (not the greatest but worth trying for the adventure).

For dinner I had the peel and eat shrimp with sweet potatoes, rice and beans. All was delicious. Shrimp were perfectly cooked and there were soo many! First time I've ever struggled to finish off a shrimp dish. :)

The rest of our table ordered a chicken dish, pork, and the étufees. Nothing but delicious.

Of course we saved room for dessert. I had the fruit crisp with ice cream and others had the famous voodoo pudding, which is some kind of chocolate concoction. I'm not a big chocolate fan but that was tasty.

Not sure how people have rated their experience anything but excellent. This is a true gem in our community :)

Oh hell yeah! Possibly the best food in Humboldt Co.

I was delightedly supprised when I  first tried Bless My Soul. Serious Cajun eats. Hush puppies, vanilla carrots, sweet tea, corn bread, buttered greens, kick butt fried chicken, jerk meats, mashed potatoes, and the hottest jambalaya I have ever eaten. I think the last time it wasn't so hot, perhaps they've toned it down. Friendly staff for intimate dinners or big groups. Not too big a place so, make a reservation or get there early for weekend nights. They are awesome!!!!

Stopped here tonight based on Yelp reviews. I probably would have never found this restaurant had it not been for Yelp because it is a teenie little restaurant that would be easy to pass. This restaurant is great and a total find in the middle of Eureka.

The restaurant is small (under 50 people probably) and none of the plates match. If you're looking for a swanky place, go somewhere else. This restaurant is like home, but with better food. I had the Jambalaya (holy spicy) and my friend had the fried tofu dinner (delicious). For vegetarians out there, don't pass this by! Great vegetarian options here.

Overall, I'm thrilled with dinner. The owner, Sweet Mama Janisse, came by to say hi which was great. Two enthusiastic thumbs up for this small, goldmine of a restaurant!
